Create work orders, incident reports, email notices and tasks.  You decide how and when the system reacts to movement and sensor readings.

  • RTLS automatic alert notification

Real-time location tracking continually monitors the current location of people and equipment, comparing movement to location rules established by the hospital.  When equipment is lost or patients wander to another floor the system can react by sending notifications to people tasked with responding to the event.

Location rules vary by type of equipment, patient or department.  They can be strictly based on location or include more advanced parameters such as dwell time (e.g. patient has been in the bathroom for a half hour) or time of day (e.g. wheelchair left the building during over-night hours).

Each location rule is defined with a workflow.  This can include notification to multiple people, generation of work orders or incident reports, expected response times and escalations.  Even after notification the system will continue to monitor the situation and generate additional alerts if required.

The result is a highly responsive system that can react as events happen and make the right people aware that their attention is required.

In-application Notifications

The urgency behind notifications can vary by incident.  Some may be immediate threats requiring a prominent pop-up window in the application.  Other notifications may require follow-up such as an investigations into an incident, or be for informational purposes only, such as a department head being notified of a near-miss incident.

FacilityTeam’s well organized dashboard presents messages, tasks and gauges, directing attention to urgent matters and providing for an easy way to find and respond to incidents.

External Notifications

For staff and contractors who are not users in FacilityTeam, automated email notifications allow them to participate in responding to alerts.  FacilityTeam is also capable of pushing data to other system such as logging a work ticket in a contractor’s service request system.

In addition to notifications, the workflow behind each alert can generate a work order, incident report or follow-up task.  Each once can include an anticipated completion date and escalation if not attended too.  This ensures that alerts are not only responded too but include a process for resolution.
